Gas Engine Lubricants

Innovation

More than 25 years of research, development and rigorous field testing have resulted in a line of premium ester based synthetic lubricants for gas engines.

With our unique ECOSYN gas engine lubricants and our long term expertise, WCI has built the reputation as front-runner in ester synthetic gas engine lubricants. Our lubricants are used successfully for the lubrication of natural gas, biogas, landfill gas and specialty gas fueled engines.

Advantages

Not only do ECOSYN ester based synthetic gas engine lubricants have multiple technical advantages compared to mineral and other synthetic gas engine lubricants, but they also have proven economic advantages:

  • total cost of lubrication ($/MWh) up to 30% lower compared to mineral based lubricants, due to significantly extended oil drain intervals and lower oil consumption rates;
  • cleaner engines due to less carbon and varnish build ups, resulting in less unscheduled maintenance events and longer life expectancy for engine parts;Hi
  • very low knocking tendency: ECOSYN has proven to severely reduce and even eliminate pre-ignition events on on engines with fluctuating gas qualities and methane-numbers;
  • gas emission limits are achieved more easily with ECOSYN: e.g. no excess NOx gases are generated due to irregular combustion events;
  • environmental safety benefits: extended oil drain intervals and reduced oil consumption results in half the oil volume movements to your sites.
